Study Trips

An integral part of our project and the second pillar of cooperation constitute a permanent exchange between the two partner universities. This is achieved mainly through regular study trips from Ukraine to Germany and vice versa.

Study trip 2018 - "Back to the roots? - German and European Identity Politics amid Rising Right Wing Populism": The group of Ukrainian students at the Parliament of Thuringia and listening to a presentation at Jena University.

The annual study trip regularly brings a group of Ukrainian Bachelor students to the FSU Jena to attend a seminar with changing themes there. The aim of the study trip is to familiarize prospective Ukrainian scholars in the fields of  Sociology, Economics and Law with essential aspects of the German political system, federalism and democracy. Students travel to the state capital Erfurt and Berlin in order to talk to the international and national experts of important political institutions, NGOs and foundations there. The study trip also serves to develop a further group of interested individuals for the center in general and the DSG in particular.
